ABSTRAK

This study aims to analyze semiotics and contextual in a film. Fist Fight film is choosen as the unit of analysis in this researchas the film shows the meaning and symbols of violence, youth morality and the education system in the United States. The issue of education-based violence and morality is interesting to study because a social changes phenomenas are changing so fast. The methodology in this study uses a qualitative approach that involves researchers as primary data and the use of secondary data from books and the internet to strengthen the arguments built. On semiotic value, The results contained of the film is discipline, adolescent morality educated, the reality of teaching life, education system, violence dilemma and assertiveness. Contextually, this film shows satire (satire) towards the emergence of violence and the problem of morality from the pattern of the United States education system from the level of students, teachers and institutional management in the management of the education system.
