RELATED KNOWLEDGE OF NUTRITION BALANCED WITH NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF CHILDREN IN THE VILLAGE LIPAH RAYEUK JEUMPA SUB BIREUEN DISTRICT

Nutritional status is very influential in the growth and development of infants. Nutritional status related to the knowledge and maturation of the human body components, a child growing environment and interaction with the child's mother. Data from Pukesmas Jeumpa in 2013 the number of 613 inhabitants toddler measured by BB/U obtained 7:34% malnutrition, malnutrition 24.1%, 68.5% good nutrition, it shows that malnutrition in the district are still there with a percentage JEUMPA 7:34%. Objective: To determine the relationship of mother's knowledge about balanced nutrition with nutritional status of children in the village Lipah Rayeuk Jeumpa sub Bireuen. The study design used is analytic design design crosecctional conducted in the village of Lipah Rayeuk Jeumpa sub Bireuen. This research was conducted in February until July 2014. The population is composed of mothers and babies 54 people in the village Lipah Rayeuk. The research instrument was a questionnaire consisting of 20 statements, and weight scales. To know the mother's knowledge by distributing questionnaires and for the nutritional status of children with weigh. Result: good knowledge of mother child nutritional sta-tus is in good category (64%), and mothers who are knowledgeable enough nutritional status of children are in the good category (60%), Chi-Square test results, we get no significant association between maternal knowledge about balanced nutrition with nutritional status of children. Based on the results of the study showed that there was no correlation mother knowledge about balanced nutrition with nutriational status of children.
