THE EFFECT OF OXYCIN MASSAGE ON UTERUS INVOLUTION IN POST PARTUM MOTHER IN WORKING AREAS OF HEALTH CENTER INGIN JAYA ACEH BESAR

Uterine involution is a process of conditional return of the uterus before becoming pregnant. This process starts immediately after the placenta is born and the hormone that affects it is the hormone
oxytocin. This study aims to determine the effect of oxytocin massage on uterine involution in post partum mothers in the work area health center of the ingin Jaya Aceh Besar. The research method used was Quasi Experimental pre test and post test design with control group. The population in this study were post partum mothers who gave birth in July to October 2018 in the working area of the puskesmas Ingin Jaya Aceh Besar. The sample of this study was 30 post partum mothers who were divided into intervention and control groups. he results showed that there were differences in Fundus Uterine Height between groups of postpartum mothers who were treated with oxytocin massage with groups that were not treated with oxytocin massage with a p value of 0.001 <0.05. Massage performed on the spine causes
the mother to feel relaxed, calm so that the posterior pituitary secretes the hormone oxytocin which causes uterine contractions so that the process of uterine involution can run well. Conclusion: There is an effect of oxytocin massage on the decrease in uterine fundal height in post partum mothers.
